SPECIAL EVENTS FOR EARLY VISITATION

Summer beckons! Every camper would like to know – where am I going? What and where is Camp Whip-Poor-Will? If your camper has experienced only indoor activities, still referred by many groups as camp, he may be overjoyed to discover a new world along the creeks and trails with activities inviting participation! After you have enrolled you camper, check the convenient dates below.

So that you and your favorite camper can be familiar with the environment of Camp W-P-W, we invite you to join us for any or all of the events listed below. Each of the events offer enjoyable activities and unique opportunities to extablish special family memories! The May Festival event offers many of the activities to be experienced at camp and a time of wonderful fellowship with family and friends. All events help you to communicate better with your camper about his/her Summer experience. Since these are the scheduled times for camp visitation so that campers can enjoy activities, we request that you take advantage of this family time as well as introducing your camper to Camp W-P-W.

1.Upcoming Open Houses-  FEBRUARY 18TH & March 24th, 2:00-4:00 P.M.
CAMP WHIP-POOR-WILL INVITES YOU TO SHARE THE MOMENTS AND MAKE THE MEMORIES
THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AT OUR WHIP-POOR-WILL LODGE . MOST OF THE EVENTS WILL
INVOLVE FAMILY AND WE HOPE THAT YOU AND YOURS CAN JOIN US!

THIS YEAR, FOLLOWING YOUR REGISTRATION, YOU WILL RECEIVE THE EVENT DATES VIA
A MONTHLY UPDATE. WE HOPE THAT YOU WILL PLAN TO JOIN US FOR MANY OF THE
OCCASIONS BEING PLANNED FOR THIS 30TH YEAR OF CAMP WHIP-POOR-WILL FOR YOUR
ENRICHMENT AND ENJOYMENT.

THESE FIRST TWO ARE FREE OPEN HOUSES AT THE CAMP (with activities and refreshments
and camp presentation for those who have not attended). REGISTRATION IS NEEDED PRIOR TO
OPEN HOUSE ATTENDANCE. SEE THE EVENT REGISTRATION FORM.

2. EASTER EGG HUNT - TBA
Camp provides baskets, eggs to find, a craft, Bible story of the meaning of Easter, special refreshments and more!  Rain or Shine (indoor activities in case of inclement weather)

3. ANNUAL FAMILY FESTIVAL – TBA.
Dinner, activities just like campers will experience, family enjoyment!

4. CHRISTMAS-BONFIRE-CAROL-SING AND DINNER – TBA.
Special program, candlelight, bells, luminaries, Christmas is almost here!

5.NEW FOR OUR 30TH YEAR CELEBRATION IS FAMILY DAY!
(FOR FAMILIES WITH 2, 3, AND 4 YEAR OLDS)

EACH WEDNESDAY 10:00-12:00 noon
OR REMAIN LONGER IF BRINGING A PICNIC BASKET

Cost is: $7 per child and no cost for adults

Adults remain with their children for the enjoyment AND SAFETY OF FAMILY DAY THE DAY INCLUDES:
Wood walking and exploring the out of doors, music and stories as appropriate for ages, animal visits, games, and refreshments. Families are welcome to bring a picnic basket and remain longer for lunch. A reserved luncheon area will be provided for FAMILY DAY FOR FAMILIES WITH 2, 3, AND 4 YEAR OLDS. MORE TO FOLLOW UPON REGISTRATION. PLEASE REGISTER AT LEAST 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE EVENT.
